After Australia lost the cricketing Ashes to England, Buninyong, a small western Victorian village, challenged England to a Test match of a different kind! A Team of eleven marmalades, plus 12th jar, was sent to the 2011 International Marmalade Awards in Cumbria, UK to be judged against an England Eleven.
However, we now hear that England, stung by its loss, is gearing up for next year's classic contest in February 2012. So - we need your help to beat the Poms at something they claim to have invented - marmalade.
An Australian Eleven will tour to England in February 2012 - up against an England Eleven
The Selectors will be at the
Buninyong Marvellous Marmalade Fair
To be held in Buninyong, near Ballarat, western Victoria on
Sunday 5th February, 2012
