Mystery Photo Competition
- it's just for fun!
Mystery Tree
After the previous tricky (and still unsolved) mystery photo, here's an easy one to solve. Because it's so easy, there are 3 parts to the question:
Do you know where and what this tree is and why it is special?
The first person to tell us precisely
- what sort of tree it is
- where it is growing
- and why it is special to Buninyong (and Ballarat)
will win the current competition.
Note: We will be doing a special feature on this tree soon.
Unsolved mystery photo - can you identify it?
A bit further afield, mystery pic was obviously a tough one. Too tough! No-one had any suggestions even after several month's exposure.
So, ok, here's a clue: our photographer, Barry Grewcock, says he came across it in the Enfield State Forest, somewhere near the old Chinese Camp at Surface Point. Can you recognise what it is? If you've ever seen something like this in the bush before maybe that will give us a clue as to its identity. All suggestions are very welcome. We'd love to know the answer.

Rules of the game
All photos are taken in or around Buninyong & District and can clearly be seen from a public road, lane, park or bush track. There will never be any need to venture onto private property to identify the subject.
How to enter the competition
If you think you know the correct answer to the current Mystery Photo Competiton, email your answer, stating your own name and clearly identifying the subject and exact location of the photo, to the Buninyong Community Website Group. The first person to send in the correct answer will win that month's Mystery Prize.
Winners and Prizes
Prize-winners will be notified by the Buninyong Community Website Group and announced on this page. Winners can then collect their prize from the Buninyong Information Centre by showing their Mystery Photo Prize-winner Notification.
Prizes will vary each month. Most are in the form of a small gift voucher donated by one of Buninyong's businesses.
