Calling in at the Buninyong Information Centre for maps and a chat with a local volunteer is a good place to start.

Buninyong has a wonderful legacy of churches, shops, houses and public buildings still surviving from its early days. These can be freely seen, and some visited, during a leisurely walk around the township. The Buninyong and District Historical Society has produced a short a guide to such walks for those who would like more historical information.
